During the course we will examine various crisis scenarios and demonstrate how to develop communication plans, step-by-step. Having communication and collaboration plans will help calm the fears, anxieties, and stress levels for you as well as those around you. Knowing that you are not alone makes a big difference, and you can change fear and stress into positive actions by confidently preparing now for anything that potentially can come your way.
Like natural disasters, man-made disasters are increasing dramatically each year. Unfortunately, more people spend their time planning their next vacation than planning how to survive a man-made disaster. We can no longer afford to ignore these types of disasters and pretend they could never happen to us or to our communities.
This course is designed to help real estate professionals prepare for most man-made disasters, from pandemics and active shooters to cyberattacks and power outages. The secret to surviving man-made disasters is taking the necessary steps now to prepare. The course examines eight man-made disasters in detail and goes over strategies for preparing, surviving, and recovering.
This course is part of the C.A.R.’s Disaster Preparedness & Knowledge (DPK) program. The certification was created to guide real estate professionals to have a better understanding as to what they need to do to properly protect themself, their family, their business and their community. By earning this Certification, you differentiate yourself in your community by being a trusted source and the person they turn to first. You will look like the rock star of disaster preparedness in your community.
